We’re proud to welcome co-tone as a new artist-led channel on the UFO network. Transmitting directly from Copenhagen’s creative scene.

This launch is a milestone in the evolution of UFO as an onchain-native radio network.

co-tone brings together a collective of independent thinkers weaving cultural fabric through art, music, tech and nature. It is a city-based broadcast experiment. One that reflects the spirit of Copenhagen while tuning into a larger global frequency.

rethinking the archive

The first wave of co-tone broadcasts is an intentional departure from the churn of the algorithmic feed.

As aiio puts it: “Often, the time invested in crafting is disproportionate to the airtime a mix receives. With this launch, we want to revisit mixes from different timelines, not bound by the linearity of social media.”

The result is a living archive. A reimagining of how sound, sets, and shared listening can operate outside the attention economy.

Fifteen artists have generously contributed mixes — some old, some new, some recorded live, some from other radio shows and past performances. Each broadcast is an invitation to discover the networks behind the music: the communities, labels, collectives, and platforms.

You can tune in now at ufo.fm/show/co-tone where new sets will continue to surface over the coming days. Join the chat and experience music as it unfolds.

local signals, global network

As UFO scales up its programming in 2025, co-tone sets a precedent as a localized, independently curated broadcast channel using shared infrastructure, protocol integrations, and support from the wider network.

This is a key part of the mission: enabling place-based collectives from Copenhagen to New York, from Berlin to London, Amsterdam and others, to broadcast their voices, connect their scenes, and participate in building the open internet.

In the coming months, you’ll see more regional channels and collectives joining UFO from around the world. Each bringing their own signal, perspective, and contribution to imagining what media and radio can be.

broadcasting the future

UFO is building the broadcast layer for the onchain world by integrating Livepeer for streaming, Farcaster for social graph and interactions, Privy for onboarding, and more.

But it’s channels like co-tone that give this stack its meaning.

They’re not just using the tools. They’re showing how this new assembly of internet-native culture can feel: slower, deeper, and built for connection between artists and participants.

We believe radio is one of the most enduring and beautiful formats for transmission and we’re just getting started.

co-tone is live. More signals are coming.
